Thinking about RVing for a while. I know that no RV park will compare to The Villages, but I want to do something different once in a while.

Do a ton of research before buying. Rent first before buying. An RV is just a big boat on wheels. Everything is ridiculously expensive and if you aren’t handy you will spend a small fortune keeping one on the road. Been there and done that...twice.

On the upside, it is a great way to get out and see this great country. Learn how to boondock and stay out of the RV parks.

We bought our first RV last February before the pandemic. We did research for several years prior. Bought new but pur in our own most comfortable mattress. Bought gorgeous sheets and my pillows are mine and not hundreds of other peoples that have breathed into them. We have our own shower and toilet and pamper ourselves with wonderful soaps and shampoos. I totally cooking my own food and plan wonderful meals. When we go to an area with a great restaurant, we go there. We love the Florida stateparks. Good luck with your decision.

We have had trailers for 31 years and love to camp. Campgrounds go from basic all the way up to resorts with water parks and spas etc. currently we have a pop up in the yard up north and a brand new 38 foot travel trailer parked in New Hampshire. Everything about camping is great, we love every minute. The plan someday will to sell our house in Mass and split our time between the Villages and the camper. Depending what you hope to do there are some cool places in Fl, GA and Myrtle Beach to name a few places. This June we are taking the big camper to PA for a nice little trip.

Enjoy your time, it should be great.
