Remember the old saying read it and weep? I wish I had the avatar one of the prior members used to have.....an eagle with a tear coming from it's eye.

Partisanship set aside.....this is a deplorable, unacceptable position for those of us that grew up and lived during America's greatness.

Does this affect anybody in TV? Of course not...life goes on here in the bubble.
We have that luxury and one more.

We will not live to see the America we know and love if some REAL changes are made in Washington. It starts with the November 2010 elections. Then continues with the 2012 election.

If you care about your America...if you care about your children, grand children and great grand children and the prospect for the first time in the history of the USA to have less than we did growing up. To have a shorter life expectancy than we do. To have significantly less freedom than we enjoy.

It is not a partisan thing.....to get rid of mediocrity in government both local and in Washington.

The current crop of politicians who know and care only about their own agendas are incapable.

They need to be thrown out of office.

America needs to be returned to greatness...are we really going to let our beloved USA become a third world status competitor??

I am not.

I think the biggest problem the GOP has is their record. What they did when they had all the power was nothing short of disastrous.

Now, we can all agree that the country certainly is not 'back' where it should be. Whether Obama helped (by stopping the bleeding) or hurt (with laws who's effects are yet to be felt) is open to debate.

What can't be denied is that the two parties cannot seem to stop from spending us into oblivion. Bush went nuts on it and Obama has put THOSE amounts way in the rear-view mirror.

What option is there? What VALID option? Anyone who looks at the non-discretionary spending amount - the stuff that CAN'T be cut has to come away saying 'where does the money come from'?

I am proud DJPLONG to say that I agree with approx 80% of what you say. Let it lay there and we can discuss the 20% another day but on many main points you have it correct.

The Tea Party movement will NOT bring Republican wins and sitting around without formulating any firm plans is not going to do it.
