Default Air Conditioner

Our A/C and Furnace are 19 years old. So far everything works fine. I would like recommendations for brands and contractors because I’m thinking it might be time to replace. Most of the posts are quite old so looking for newer recommendations. After reading previous posts I’m thinking we are lucky it’s seems to be working. We just became residents and really like my air conditioning! Want to get 3 estimates.

I'm in the same boat! I'll be looking for an AC company
That don't rape Villagers! Ocala to the North --- Leesburg-Fruitland park to the South ... fixed incomes

I would at least get quotes from Chuck Farrell and Munns. Munns will be more expensive, but they sell Carrier and they are available for repairs 7 days per week, if that matters to you. I would go with Munns unless Chuck Farrell is significantly cheaper. I think he sells American Standard units, but not Carrier.

From what I understand Chuck does not take on new customers unless an existing one leaves. I have read on these boards that quite a few people have been happy with Kalos, as that is who Chuck recommends when someone contacts him.

We were an existing customer with Chuck, when our 9 yo system died. Be happy you got twice the amount of years. We had quotes from Munns, Sunkool, and and Chuck. Comparing seer for each quote, Chuck was less, and could get us a unit within a week, the other 2 would have been 4 weeks. No air in October for 4 weeks would have been insane
