Who puts the flags on the lawns? Why is there none on my lawn?

I assume people put them up to display support of patriotism and possibly political support.

If it is political, that disturbs me but is their "right" - either way, I have no problem with it.

To directly answer your question, I assume they put them up themselves.

I am puzzled if it is political. One neighbor is a die hard Republican, the other is an absolutely devoted Democrat and they both have exactly the same lawn flags on their lawns. In fact the whole street has them except for a few lawns. My cousins served and one is still serving but I don’t know about their politics.

It has NOTHING to do with politics and EVERYTHING to do with patriotism and support for the heroes that fought and died for our freedoms.
And I sincerely hope the OP , apparently being a newbie, just didn't know and not that he/she expected someone else to put flags up for him/her

Not sure how or why anyone would think honoring Memorial Day by displaying the flag is political. 🤔

Back to the original poster, there are several sources for the "lawn flags" both locally and via Internet. Buy a quantity of them and place them where you wish on your property. My opinion - don't go for the small ones that are almost toys. Get the ones with a 2 to 2 1/2 foot stick. They look better (again, my opinion). I would also buy more than needed since sooner or later the stick will break, the flag material will fade/tear. Nice to have replacements on hand for quick replacement. You'll have many patriotic holidays to proudly show our flag.

Tell that to the guy who still has his turned upside down at half-mast with a political sign saying "don't blame me, I voted for...[insert name]" near the 441 golf cart bridge.

OP, don't forget that when you do place flags into the ground, you need to make sure the flag itself never touches the ground. That is a sign of -disrespect- and not respect.

I don't like them but I don't care about them either. They have nothing to do with the topic, which is flags - and in particular, for Memorial Day.

My two cents worth. Those flags-are they made in the US or imported from China?

I have never seen our nation so torn apart. Fault? The fault is OURS not the other guys.

I live in America. I am PROUD to be an American. Flying our country's flag has nothing to do with politics.

New to TV and we wondered why we didn't get the memo about the little flags (we have A LARGE flag). Went to Lowes this morning and bought a dozen. Ours a little smaller than the neighbors, but I think they will work just fine!
