Default Mourning Dove v2.0

Another photo of a Mourning Dove at Lake Sumpter. This is a little more recognizable with it's a black band on the back of her neck.

I believe you've captured a picture of a Ringed Turtle Dove...nice shot though

mourning doves do not have a black ring around the back of their neck and are not as pale in color

Mourning Doves are found ground-feeding routinely at my feeders (in Ohio). They are the only birds that I can identify by the sound of their wings. I think they're beautiful.

Nice, I've had them here for ten years, but for some reason not recently.

Love those birds, they had babies on our waterfall few months ago. Talked to them each day, they knew my voice and we got to be friends. Wouldn’t let my hubby clean the lanai for a month
