Default I need a Tailor

I can't seem to get the search app to work anymore. So I'm turning to this Forum for help. I need to have a the collar replaced on my favorite sportscoat. I have the material and would appreciate any help or recommendation. Thanks Len

Thanks I went there today and was told the tailor rotates from cleaners to cleaners. So I found her at the cleaners in Spanish Plaines. She said she no longer does anything complicated. She is the one who did my last jacket 8yrs ago. Anyone else have a recommendation. Len

Have you checked "Next Door" for your area? There is a lady who is mentioned there from time to time. I will pm you with name and phone no. Since I can do hems, and other simple alterations, haven't had a chance to use her.

I’m not try to be snarky here but if you have worn out the collar on your favorite sports jacket, what’s that say about the rest of jacket or are you hanging it up like a trophy, please take this a little lightly as it’s coming from someone who never stops shopping for clothes lol

I have my Favorites and this is one of them. It's a cotton Sportcoat worn with jeans. I have 10 of them in different colors. I don't like the new coat with old jeans look. Len

If you don't mind traveling, and want expert tailoring, give Nila's in Eustis a try...she and her family are all 'come overs' and they really know the trade

wife has been EXTREMELY pleased....and her grandfather was a tailor

Look up Susan Lehota in your Villages phone directory. She’s a retired home ec teacher in the Village of Bonita and takes care of all of our needs. I think you’ll be pleased with her work.

I’m just trying to figure out how you wear out a sport coat collar while living in Central Fl. I start sweating profusely just looking at a jacket

Yola Buchannon lives in The Lakes of Lady Lake on Rt 25 just North of the postoffice. She is excellent. Been sewing all her life. 352-430-2649. Very quick and reasonably priced.
