Desmond Harris, 352-308-7457, if he is still in business. It should cost less than $100.

Covenant LLC is in business. I'm not sure if Desmond Harris still owns it, or not. They are coming to clean my dryer vent next week. I highly recommend them.

i have seen Jonathans in the neighborhood... i do my own with the leaf blower... watch the FEMA Dryer fire video... the majority of dryer fires start in the back of the dryer and not the vent! so the actual dryer needs cleaned but thats too hard to make a quick 70 bucks and bounce...

Often times the people that clean dry vents also clean your HVAC vents, sometimes you can get a better deal if you have them do both.

Desmond cleaned our dryer vent and all of our air conditioning vents last month. He washed all the AC vents and changed the batteries in the smoke alarms. He did a great job!

Default easy peasy

I just run the dryer in cool mode, and dangle a snake in the output side, shaking and turning, rolling, etc -- working it all the way back to the dryer. Works like a charm. Everything that the lint screen missed will blow right out into the yard.

Exactly, been using this method for 50 years, never had a problem. But, each to their own my friends.

We have a roof vent so worth it to have someone climb up there periodically and clean the gunk out of the flapper and suck the rest out from the inlet.

Coiled-wire foil or plastic transition ducts should be replaced with rigid, non-ribbed metal ducts that are listed by UL or another approved product safety testing agency. They cost about $10.

I used Jim Wildner 352-801-3902 and was extremely happy with his service.

True - there is just not enough heat generated to ignite any combustible material except right near the source and that is even very rare. If you are capable, pull out the dryer and vacuum out the internal exhaust channel from the back of the dryer to the lint screen, clean out the flexible pipe, and for good measure see if you at least use your vacuum or better yet a shop wet vac and vacuum as much of the rigid vent as you can. A few feet is typical. The lint will however clog the vent pipe especially if the pipe is tall and exhausts up at the roof since dryers really don't have the force to properly vent such tall pipes. It will allow the dryer to work more efficiently is the entire vent is cleaned out.
