Default Federal Energy Savings

Has anyone received a letter in the mail from Federal Energy Savings? It states that based on the Energy Policy Act of 2005, we might be able to receive some savings. I.e. electric bill paid for August and September, $2,000 tax credit from the federal government, 33-51% reduction on monthly electric bill and/or $150.00 for each referral. Does anyone know if this is a scam? It sounds too good to be true (which usually means it's not true). This came from a Wildwood address.

It sounds like a scam. Go to this link in the forum for more information that indicates that this is coming from Pat the Plumber who, based upon comments herein appears to be less than honest.

Stay far, far away from this one...it is a scam. There was an article in the paper the other day about how they scammed a Villager by getting money upfront then not delivering any products.

Sounds similar to those companies who, for a fee, will provide you with info about college loans, scholarships, etc.; all of which can be found for free through legitimate sources.

There was a followup item in today's Local section of the paper. The day after the customer filed a police complaint the company showed up with the promised products so the customer withdrew the complaint.

I would still be very careful with this outfit.

Anybody out there in TOTV land have a history doing business with them?
