Smile Issue with Millipedes

We moved down in the beginning of August only to find our yard had a millipede problem. After getting no where with our pest provider, I did some digging and found that Orkin will actually address the issue. Joel from Orkin came out and and spent the time to find out where the nest was located. Without doing that you are not going to solve the problem. Two days later he had a member of his crew come out and treat the property. Less than 3 days later no more millipedes. We were so relieved, before that treatment everyday was like a scifi movie, invasion of the milipedes. Here is his contact information Joel Lussier, 352-787-1357. Miracle!!

Glad you were able to get the help. Our problem has been seasonal roaches. Massey saved us once again! ;- )

you need a regular treatment program down south for pests

we've had great luck (knock on wood) using Zoysia Green 352.323.8454

Here cockroaches are called water bugs. They are not even in the same weight class as a NY, NJ roach.

You are doing something. or not doing something that makes your home attractive to them. They can and do come up the drains. Vinegar a mild acid down the drain about a cup once a week will stop that and clean your drains. Food you want to put all of it into plastic containers. Corrugated cardboard boxes, they love to nest in them. Your refrigerator. Crumbs collect under it. It is a choice breeding spot.

I don’t even want to think about NJ roaches/water bugs! Blech!

All our items are stored in plastic tubs. I’ll try the vinegar down the drains, too. Thanks.

Massey told us they come up through the overflow thingy from the tub. I stuffed steel wool there, and any other openings I could find. So far so good.
