A wonderful group of people to hike with. Well organized and the hike leaders are certified and well trained. It's my passion and I am thankful for the Highlander Group and appreciate all their efforts to keep people safe while enjoying a hike thru the various forests throughout Florida.

This sounds great, where do they hike and is it on regularly scheduled days and times?

So happy to hear of this hiking group! We close on our new home in a couple of weeks and hope to move in late Spring, and this activity will be a wonderful way to begin my new life in TV. I contacted Debby Lamanna this morning and she told me that hikes are normally on Wednesday mornings and are 3 to 10 miles long.They are announced by email the weekend prior to the hike date. Once you are registered in the group you will begin to receive emails announcing upcoming hikes. The Villages Hiking Group is a part of the Highlanders Chapter of the Florida Trail Association, which we are encouraged to join.

Check the Florida trail Association, Highlander group. They hike in the forests within an hour of the villages generally on Wednesdays at 8:30am. Should have a notification in the Thursday activities section.
