Default Another Hunter Irrigation system question

I have a Hunter Pro -C control module. Any way to add a wi-fi controlled module to this existing panel

Apparently, you can upgrade to wifi, depending on which pro-c controller you have. Here is the link.

Pro-c - Upgrading to Wi-Fi | Hunter Industries

I would suggest that you go to the website, hunterindustries.com, and print out your owners manual. You can also call the company and ask them. They are very helpful.

I believe there is an upgrade kit but you are probably better off just changing it out for a Rachio or other modern wifi controllers. It's very simple since they all use the same wiring and the new ones like Rachio can see the weather forcast and avert watering when it's going to rain the next day.

I replaced my Hunter controller with an Orbit B-Hyve wifi enabled controller. It waters according to the weather in the area and can be controlled remotely from anywhere. Very easy to install and if you have any issues their support is great. Cost of the controller was just a little over $100 if I recall correctly. Best of luck!

I like technical stuff. But, I never understood why people want to control their irrigation system remotely. Most people water too much, and trying to time the watering based on weather forecasts, is very inaccurate. Irrigation water is very inexpensive. But, I know some people who don't even have an irrigation system, they never water anything, and their grass and plants don't die.
