Sumter County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) was assisting Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) attempting to locate a Hispanic male who fled on foot. I was wondering that myself sometimes, then I realized that SCSO is reactive and not proactive.

The Sheriff's Dept. must be doing something right. Our crime rate is very low and they seem to clear almost every one of the few felonies we have.
