Check the classified section of TOTV. Sort by "latest". There are no shortages of vehicles for sale

Including our '86 vette, OK seriously you would need to fold the kids up to fit in the hatch.

Yes I agree there are several private slae cars on ToTV and nextdoor, be very careful about Craiglist, and I agree with above dealers prices seem to be very high.

Get a copy of the April Consumers Reports. It's the annual auto issue. It has great detail on what used cars to look for in multiple price ranges and of course what used cars to avoid.

It's a must read for someone in your situation.

Please explain “died”. I would get an expert opinion (Wildwood tire) on that vehicle before burying it. Nice first post. Hope you get help on here but it’s doubtful. Most posters on TOTV are experts on telling other people how to live . Welcome

Carvana prices are insane. The stock has plummeted 75 percent. That business model no longer works

My two cents worth. You should indicate what sort of car, he needs, wants. I am neither buying or selling a car but, I would expect as happened at previous rises of gas prices, a car that gets poor gas mileage may be a better purchase, at the right price, due to people not wanting to put $100 into the tank. If, he does not need to go far, it may make sense. A standard shift? Other than in a sports car few want them or know how to drive them. A,"fair price," today all of that information is available on the internet.
