As a member of the VHA, I always thought it difficult to make the case that VHA was not tied to the Developer when a VHA box was found in every mail stop. I suggested that the box be eliminated. While I will not claim that they took my advice, our VHA box is no longer to be used. How about your VHA box at your mail stop?

The VHA does many worthwhile things such as their golf cart safety program, new resident’s night and helping hands program. So, I am not negative VHA but still am not sure they are totally neutral towards how things take place in the Villages.

Why object to having an easy way to communicate with the VHA? What did it hurt?

Sure, one could wonder why a box for the VHA but not the POA or any/every other group. If the objection was on the grounds of a box for all or a box for none then that would make sense.

Information that the boxes were going to be removed was in one of the newsletters.
Even gave instructions on how to still make contact.

Not sure what the VHA is and couldn’t tell you if there is a box of any type. When at the mail station I go to my mailbox and then back to the golf cart. The only other box I know about is the newspaper box as we buy one once in awhile.

Because only a handful of people used them. And mainly misplaced mail/utility payments were placed in them.

Actually might want to at least learn about them. They loan mobility equipment at no charge and other beneficial things. Not your usual HOA. Doesn’t hurt to look and read.
