Default Our First Polo Match

We enjoyed it so much, including 1/2 time and the champagne. Here are some photos. If anyone from the polo club wants them, they can send me a message thru this board. I really enjoyed myself.

Really great shots. We have just been in TV for two years but Polo has become our number one favorite sport and you photos capture the game very well.

Thanks for sharing.

Default Polo

We'll be renting a house in TV in December and have never been to a polo match. We will have company visiting us while there and would like to "do" a polo match. I see on The Villages website there are several options for attending, ie, stands, auto, golf cart. Can someone be kind enough to fill me in and let me know the most fun way of attending a game? Thanks

Default Polo

wendyquat -

This site should answer most of your questions.

http://www.thevillagespoloclub.com/

I have attended many polo matches and I must tell you that The Villages Polo facility is the most magnificent I have ever seen -
and I am not exaggerating. You can now buy tickets in advance at the Villages Box Office.
You can tailgate with a golf cart (or car) but there is usually a lunch and beverages available to buy also.

Enjoy......

Thanks for the link Islandgal! I guess I can't buy in advance until I get there and get my Village ID cards. What do YOU think is more fun? Stands or tailgate with golf cart? May be a little cool December 5. Thanks

The polo is great here. Great price and great playing!! I usually do the golf cart but you have to go early to get a good spot as they fill up fast for the first game. Weather is often warm enough in December so that should not be a real concern. Maybe a sweater or jacket will do. Pics were really good. Enjoy your next match.

It was cool there today. If you want to see a polo match and you are only going to be here the month of Dec., make sure you go on Dec. 5, that is the last match until spring.

Do you need tickets to go in a golf cart, and if so, where do you get them?

Default Thanks for the kind comments

I'm glad you all enjoyed these photos, and that they even got some people out to see a match (K-9's wife took some wonderful shots herself and he posted them in Picture Perfect thread)

Some one asked...
My camera is a Nikon D-300. I'm an amateur but I have sold some of my photos. I just enjoy taking photos and playing with them in Photoshop.

Here is one more from that match:
