Best place to watch space launch.

How far do you want to go? It's a crap shoot, but we have on occasion taken an oceanfront room at La Quinta in Cocoa Beach and watched from our balcony. It's amazing to be that close without having to stand in a crowd or be out in the middle of the night.

The iffy part is the launch may be canceled or delayed. We happen to like Cocoa Beach, but we are ocean people. Also La Quinta takes dogs--used to be no charge, but we haven't been there in three years, so I can't say for sure.

Make sure you get above the third floor for a direct ocean view.

I've watched a few from the end of my driveway....matter of fact, saw one this morning

the night launches are easier to see though
