Default Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Ocala

Very sad! I realize the details of the incident are still under investigation. As someone who's ridden a motorcycle for many years, and has taken the "Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF)" course a number of times, vehicles making a left turn in front of an oncoming motorcycle is one of the more common accidents involving motorcycles. Investigations have shown that the drivers say they "just didn't see the oncoming motorcycle". I post this to ask drivers to be more cautious when making a left turn into oncoming traffic & to watch for motorcycles in particular, and for motorcyclists to take the MSF course and wear protective gear when riding.

We went by it and I’m thinking maybe he tried to beat the light! No helmet is never good but in this case it wouldn’t have mattered.
