Default Cost of Water and Sewer at TV?

New to TV: We just bought a patio villa- haven't moved in yet.

I was curious about the cost of living and made some phone calls. One call was to The Village Center Community Development District. I asked for an approx. estimate of how much we'd pay for water each month and was told, "$250- $300 per month". This seemed high so I looked at a video on Youtube by Jerry and Linda- they listed their water bill as about $20 per month.

With all that said- what is a typical water bill you folks are paying?

Thanks!

We’re about the same at $250 and $50.

Also it depends on where you live. Some areas have separate irrigation water and potable water with the sewer only charged for the potable water. Your lot size and landscaping will have some impact on your bill. We are south of 466a with an oversized lot the bill from CSU is $250 to $300, and includes trash pickup, amenities, irrigation water potable water (with sewer), etc.

New or pre owned home? If pre owned, you can find the bills online.

Depends on the season, now in the wet season sprinklers don't run as much. Average depends on the size of your property.

I have a patio villa and run $235-$239 monthly - yours depends on amenity bill cost which is different for homes depending when you purchased.

There are some videos on YouTube that I thought were pretty helpful when we were buying here. This couple, Jerry and Linda, have done a bunch about the Villages. Just go to YouTube and type in "cost of living in The Villages". (I tried to insert a link and web address for you but this page manager denied it.)

ITT all depends on how much water you use… everyone is different. How long you shower & how many time a day you might shower, doing laundry, washing dishes etc. You will always pay a base charge, even on your sewage and irrigation…. I think that $250-300 was for everything. Garbage, amenities, sewer, irrigation and water….

We have a designer home with a lot size of 5,460 sq ft in the Village of Hadley and our average monthly water bill (drinking, irrigation and sewer) for the last 6 years was $67.86.

Default Water bill

Ours is about 20.00 and irrigation is about 30.00. Make sure you buy a home that used reclaimed water for your irrigation.
