Thank you all, many of my past relatives, that served and those still serving. Let's all pray to bring our troops home soon.

A little dramatic, but the message serves its purpose.

I was privileged yesterday to attend a luncheon with fellow Military Officer Association of America (MOAA) members, where our speaker was a young West Point graduate, now serving as a member of the Florida National Guard, mentally preparing for deployment to Afghanistan early next year.

I am continually impressed with the education, skills, dedication, loyalty, etc., of our young military officers and enlisted men and women! I fervently hope that everyone will take a moment today, and every day, to acknowledge them and their contribution to our freedom!

A veteran is someone, who at one point in their life, wrote a blank checkpayable to the United States of America for an amount up to, and including, their life. That is beyond honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer remember that fact.
