I would prefer it to be functional than decorative.

The windmill and water tower are strictly decorative. The entrance still looks nice. Completely unneeded..

I'm looking forward to their return. They helped make the square seem like an old west settlement. Something that The Villages has over other communities is the scenery all around us - natural and man-made. Hopefully that will always be maintained.

If it takes as long as the covering at Sawgrass, next year’s hurricane season will delay construction.

The $200,000 - $300,000 bill is in the mail. They will accept cash, check, or numerous credit cards.

I hope instead of windmill they put up something that gives shade/shelter & seating! During the high traffic months it is more important

Brownwood was always a very closed in square. Compared to Sumter Landing and Spanish Springs, Brownwood always felt tight and congested with structures inhibiting views. Now that the windmill and water tower are gone it looks much better, but that doesn’t matter as they are planning to put the “tchotchkes” back.

They appear to be like Bigfoot. Urban legend, never caught in a live photo. Isn't that odd for as many people who claim to know they are the real deal? Let's see some real photo evidence of their existence.

Yep. Change is usually resisted.

They should wander across the street and buy one at Sparr.
