In several restaurants we have visited lately we have seen ads for specials and some have BYOB at the bottom of the ad. Are you allowed to bring alcoholic beverages into restaurants here?

I also think that BYOB depends on the restaurant. I would call ahead and check their policy. Some charge hefty corkage fees or set up fees.

Frankly, it would surprise the h*** out of me if TV restaurants allowed you to bring your own booze. Everyone I can recall visiting has its own bar!
BYOB is, of course, pretty much the norm for local social groups. SWR ![]()

I think you may BYOB if the establishment does not have a liquor license.

In one location that I worked, it stood for Bring your own Banana.

I do not know what that means, but you can bring your own wine to a number of restaurants. There is a corkage charge so it does not pay with less expensive wines, but can save you significantly is you have a special bottle that you have been waiting to open.
