Default Indoor pickleball being built.

A major indoor pickleball complex will be constructed within The Villages.

The Pickleball Club, LLC has entered into a purchase agreement on a 4.69-acre parcel at 11750 NE 62nd Terrace, which is located near the Hampton Inn on County Road 466, across from Laurel Manor Recreation Center.

The complex will feature 16 courts inside a 40,773-square-foot building.

The property where the pickleball facility will be built is not located within The Villages and most likely will not be golf cart accessible. However, the property is completely encircled by The Villages.

An indoor pickleball facility makes sense. There will likely be a count time charge or membership fee. However, one can play during inclement weather or in the evenings.

Oh yeah there needs to be a place to play in the evenings since all the courts are just jam packed at 5 pm. Not! Everyone is at dinner.

It will end up like the wood shop, exclusive to a few.

NOT a Villages project - exclusive only those willing to pay $100+/mo or $1,000/yr. Do an internet search on The Pickleball Club LLC for the info.

Air conditioned courts 10-5 during the summer will be very popular

Those who b*t** about $6 glass of wine at sawgrass are not going to spend $80-100 a month on indoor pickle ball. On another note the indoor pool in TV didn’t last long either. For those who were here during that time, why did it close?

Thanks for the info. I was excited till i went to their website — $1000 initiation fee (during a small window of time) and over $1000/yr for adults. Doesn’t matter if you are a 1-person or more- PickleBall player household. Doesn’t seem fair. All that to be at an amenity-full court. No thank you. I’ll stay with the less than $50/yr indoor Pickleball courts.

That is probably appealing to some, it means fewer members, and more court availability.

LOL - that's not the demographic they are targeting.

This is more like a country club membership for pickleball.

There are People have no problem dropping a grand or more for multi day pickleball camps. Several times a year.
