Default Monday Night Football

I’m a moderate NFL watching fan. I watch some games on a Sunday, various channels.

Well 15 min ago I switched on MNF for the first time this season. I watched for 15 minutes and simply could not believe my eyes or ears. The Manning brothers sitting in their living rooms watching the game on a monitor and a camera on each commenting commenting commenting. No play by play. Just yada.

And their faces took up the 30% area OF THE GAME. And the camerawork and quality seemed sup-par.

OK bad enough IMO. But the Manning Boys simply yada almost like ordinary fans with little insight or interest. I watched the first series with Brady at Qback and the boys anticipated at least four wrong calls. Such as, “The formation looks to be a Pass over the middle for the first down”. Sure….it was a sideline run Peyton…

Did this format just start on MNF??? So bad IMO. And no doubt the Manning’s struck a HUGE deal. Boring and count me out.

Am I wrong?

You're on the wrong channel. There are TWO Monday Night Football channels, the Mannings are on one of 'em. Change channels

Nope, not wrong at all. The Manning Brothers and their blah, blah, blah “jumped the shark” a few years back.

Yes, he's wrong...

The Manning Bros are a separate channel from the regular MNF...

The other one has the traditional play-by-play announcers...

Did you try ABC? Or one of the other ESPN channels?

I have DirectTV and I could watch either the Mannings or the regular one...

Just went back to check what I recorded. It was espn2. After hearing about the Bucs late 4th comeback, I started watching my recording at about 6 min left. Great effort by Brady and Bucs. Finally.

But OMG, those Manning bros are so irritating and awful. So obvious they wanted New Orleans to win. Eli is a complete bore and Peyton is a know-it-all with a terrible record of guessing upcoming plays.

I will NEVER make that mistake again, dating espn2 if I want to watch MNF.

It's supposed to be two guys, watching football. Of course they'll have preferences...

Sometimes, they're hysterical, sometimes, not so much...

Unhappy

Spread got me yet again last night. I did have Tampa Bay but they did not win by enough points.

ESPN has Monday night football. The last 6 minutes of the Bucs game this past Monday was INCREDIBLE!! I could hardly believe it! It was some of the most exciting football I have ever seen!!!
