Default Aliens

Gen. Glen VanHerck, commander of U.S. Northern Command and North American Aerospace Defense Command says:

"I haven't ruled out the possibility that the objects are extra-terrestrials".

Are we sure that he is the right man for the job?

I expect a man who is as educated as he is understands all of the issues with faster than light travel and the vast distances between stars, much less ones that might have habitable planets capable of supporting life.

It was a silly response to an obviously dumb question.

If you are interested, look up a lecture by Michiu Kaku (been awhile since I attended his course, excuse the spelling) on travel from distant planets. I find it interesting.

The General is highly qualified, for sure. If he was not answering a dumb question with a appropriate answer, this should be taken into consideration. We know a hell of a lot about the Myrtle Beach craft. Confirmed , it had digital cameras, to photo and transmit plus the means. It also had a steering system with propeller and thrusters. That is all they are saying now. The one shot down in Canada is the bugger. Pilot confirmed that there was no readily apparent propulsion system ,but it was flying. Also, no apparent lift system. He also said something that I think should be classified, but he said it, some of his sensors did not work. Hummm! Think what you want folks, but they need to find that thing. Lake Huron, well there is some kid in Beijing crying because his box kite he was flying for the New Year celebration broke the string. Hey i'm outta here!

i believe a closed mind is an awful waste of space. We have sent out our own reconnaissance probes into deep space

Not sure if you’ve been following the news lately, but Congress has been having hearings on UAP’s consistently breaching military air space with capabilities much superior to ours

They can but not likely they would join us. The universe is 14 billion years old. They could have existed a million years ago, 100 million years ago, 1 billion years ago, but here at the same time as us? Not likely. Also, as commented above, space is vast. Also, out of trillions of earth-like planets in the universe they chose to visit this one? Again, the odds are not likely.

I wrote a research paper about this. There's a long list, which I won't bore you with, of great odds to overcome for an alien species to come to Earth. The odds are 1 in 1 followed by a lot of zeros.

Sorry, but we are here in this solar system by ourselves.

Live Long & Prosper!

I could care less but if you think it's not possible that there are other forms of life up there then you haven't been to any of our Squares cause they are already among us down here, Jack!

Are we sure that Gen. VanHerck didn't have his tongue planted firmly in his cheek when he made this remark?

If these are extraterrestrials, don't you think that a species with the capability of interplanetary (or interstellar) manned (lizarded?) travel would have a technology a little more advanced than BALLOONS for GAWDsakes? We've had that particular technology since 23 August 1783.

LOL ... obviously he was being facetious. If it were extraterrestrials, not only would we not shoot it down, but we wouldn't be able to shoot it down.

Default Aliens

If they were extra-terrestrial in nature we gave them a typical human welcome.
"Welcome to Earth - Boom"
