Replaced golf cart tires from bias to radial and the road noise now seems louder..

So my 2014 Yamaha needed tires. I changed them from bias ply to radials. The radial tires seem to have much more road noise. Is this normal?

If the tread design was different, that could be causing the additional noise, I have experienced on cars after a tire change.
