The wife and I just moved to The Villages last month and I'm an experienced lead guitar player with more than 25 years experience playing rock & pop cover tunes. I would like to meet other musicians here in The Villages to see if there is any possibility of forming a band or even just getting together to jam. I've been to a couple of the town squares to listen to the live music and thought that possibly getting on that circuit or at least doing some of the bar venues like City Fire could be very cool. The Beatlemaniacs play Beatles songs on Friday from 10 am to 12:20 pm at Odell rec center. The band has about 12 to 15 musicians. The poc is Jim Fraser, 352-272-0724, drwinstonoboogiejr@gmail.com. They may be able to help.

First of all, welcome to TV! I'm a frequent visitor, not quite a resident yet, but when I'm there, I enjoy going to see Sparkey's Strummers at the Savannah Center on Thursdays at 9am....they are a group of musicians who play together, sing have solos and group play. I'm sure others will chime in as well, they are quite entertaining! Stop in, listen and then hang around afterwards and talk with them, they are always looking for more players.
