Do they connect to the existing cable in the garage that feeds to every room or run a new line into your house?

I had Quantum fiber installed about 4 months ago. The installation is nothing like cable. They have a Quantum cable that connects to a modem they install in the irrigation box and connect it to a wire that feeds into your old fashion phone lines.

They then connect the main router to an electrical outlet and then plug it into the phone jack on the wall. Then they put a second router at a different location in the house plugs in to an electrical outlet.

It works very well.

All the cat 5 or 6 should be home runs to communication box in garage. A fiber cable will be run from cable terminal and a network interface device will be installed outside your home this will need to be powered by a transformer from power source in garage
