In looking over past searches, there have been a few about the ease of changing the headlight bulbs on golf carts. It seems that models can vary a great deal. When we remove the cover screws for the black headlight holder, we get a little play, but cannot pull the light out from the front to access the bulb. There seems to be a clip that is attached to the underside, which does not move. A couple of forums state this is a quick 10-15 minute job. We are not finding that to be the case. My huband wants to remove the tire to get access. Do we need to go that far?

I am GUESSING the wires are held in place with a TY-Wrap. If you can lay on your back you should be able to look up and see where this is and cut it. If you are a friend has an automobile hydraulic jack and a jack stand it is easy to jack up the front end, place the jack stand and you will have a lot of room to work on this wiring. If your headlights are Halogen bulbs, DO NOT TOUCH the glass part of the bulb as this will lead to shortened life.
