How old is Duncan? Since you've lived in quite a few snowy areas, & undoubtedly know how to drive in the snow, if Duncan is young enough you could plan a mini-weekend vacation where he might experience snow. My dogs have all loved the snow. When it is snowing they run around & bite at the falling flakes in the air. Great fun. On the other hand, if he is older, the cold might bother him, & it might not be worth it.
