Default Suggestion request:Woodside retractable/hidden sliding doors

Hello there. We have a Woodside semi custom and were never asked if we wanted the sliding doors that open completely and retract past the opening against the lanai wall and were too ignorant to think it wasn’t standard.

I would appreciate anyone’s thoughts as to whether this is indicative to an issue with our model or if there is a way to change that.

Doing it after the fact would require electrical outlets being moved at a minimum, plus a whole lot else. Has anyone taken this on if it is possible?

Thanks in advance for your help.

We have this type (pocket sliders) in our Gardenia, it appears these were moved about 4 inches to the OUTSIDE of the wall to allow the sliders to move beyond the opening. If this is true, you MAY be able to do the same thing.
Please send me a PM to discuss further over the phone, am also willing to send you photos to your email, you cannot send photos over private messages.

Hello there villagetinker. Laura here. I’m trying to determine why a model would get them and another model not. How much extra width do yours require besides the glass panels? Perhaps it is too narrow of a space?

Thanks for getting back to me. So strange, I don’t know how you saw my message when I don’t see it was posted it glad you did.
