Default US Open - Spoiler alert!

That was quite a finish!

And that is why I never give my wife a short putt.

Not once but twice. An old old saying in golf “it’s not how you drive but how you arrive”.Anyway, the U.S. Open had a great finish.

Happy for Bryson, sad for Rory.

It was a great tournament and final. I always liked Bryson, until the move to LIV. But for the last couple years he has turned into a fan favorite. His personality came out, and truly is a nice man. Rory seems to have been snake-bit in his attempt for another Major. A few shots here or there and the tables would have shifted for him.

Certainly the last 2 holes bit him badly, but quickly departing Pinehurst after Bryson's 18th hole win was not too classy. IMO. Perhaps the crowd's chants of USA USA (for Bryson) was too much.

Golf is tough....

Definitely bad etiquette for Rory to walk out without congratulating the winner.
A childish tantrum.
Not keen on Nationalism creeping in at tournaments with all the USA chanting.
Let it rip at Ryder and Presidents Cup, but not at mixed nationality events.
But given the way the world is going, good manners, tolerance, and sportsmanship are rapidly declining virtues.

Does this mean you all do not want us back?

I’m sure you meant the last 3 holes. The missed putt on 18 is understandable. It was a greasy little 4’ downhill, that’s easy to let slip away. The shorter one (less than 3’) on 16 was the one that set him up for failure. Lack of concentration.

Glad to hear you play golf with your wife on greens running 14, in front of thousands of spectators with a $4.3mil paycheck on the line.

The saying I’ve always heard is you drive for show and putt for dough. This turned out to be correct once again.

I don't watch ant golf tournament with the LIV golfers in it. They are in the Saudi league. Never forger 911.

So, you don't watch The Masters, PGA Championship, US Open or British Open?

Happy for Bryson. Rory seems to be following Tiger’s footsteps steps on and off the course.

Watched the Match, I thought that the course was in terrible condition, and people always complain about The Villages courses!
