As far as I know none of these brands are anywhere near here. Is this some sort of a plot against the Villages?

Grater’s any small batch was worth the 4 hour one way drive. That tiny store started shipping life became easier.
Then Krogers put in on their shelves and became less special, no longer small batch taste. |

Publix Coconut Road, or Chocolate Trinity.
Also - from Wentworth's in Hamden, Connecticut - Kahlua Skor bar. Made with real Kahlua, and since it's not cooked and still has an alcohol content, you have to have an ID to buy it. One of their "adult" flavors. At Kilwin's - the cappuccino chocolate chip is pretty stellar. |

Kilwins. Spanish Springs.
One scoop vanilla, one scoop Belgian chocolate. Works for me. |

Locally, Mystic Ice cream, which has locations in Leesburg and Fruitland Park, has a number of adult and family friendly flavors. Haven’t had a chance to try all the flavors.
My favorite ice cream shop is the Downeast Ice Cream Factory in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. IMHO, it is the only reason to stop eating lobster while you are there. While I like an excellent vanilla or a cookie dough, I am up for anything that is a bit different from the usual flavors. Okay, maybe not garlic but you get the idea.

Just visited the old hometown of New London, CT. Best ice cream was, and thankfully still is, Michael's Dairy on Montauk Ave adjacent to Mitchell College. July flavor of the month is Mars Bar, yum!

Foxtail Coffee in Magnolia Plaza and at Buena Vista/466 has Kelly's Ice Cream. Try the Mexican Chocolate. It's great.

In my opinion, nothing beats Häagen-Dazs. Their ice cream starts with four basic ingredients: cream, milk, eggs, and sugar. They add other ingredients to create different flavors, such as Madagascar vanilla extract for vanilla ice cream and vegetable oil for Belgian chocolate ice cream. There's nothing in the ingredients list that you can't pronounce and they prohibit artificial colors and flavors, preservatives, stabilizers, and palm oil. They also don't add air to their ice cream.
