After spending two weeks in upstate New York in December and dealing with a major snow storm while I was there, I am not going to complain about our current weather conditions.

Don't forget to bring a ice scraper, if you are going out early. Also bring a warm hat, gloves, earmuffs, and a down jacket. But you can leave the shovel home.

was 18 degrees when i finished loading last minute stuff into the car this morning at 7am...warmed up to a lovely 54 degrees all thru n. carolina...going down to 28 degrees tonite in s. carolina.

sleeping in tomorrow before leaving for a noon rendevous at the pelican point restaurant in eulonia, ga - such seafood!!! - the buffet is 2 rooms in length! and then onward to the villages! and the best is that it will be getting warmer all the way home!

So happy to hear your almost there. I wish I was carpooling with you.

As you know, being from NJ and the temp warms up to 50 plus degrees would be heaven in the tri-state area in Jan and Feb. months.

Best Wishes for a safe trip.

NJ, we've been here since the 6th and not a pool day was in sight. But then again not a flake did we shovel after the latest snowfall on the Jersey Shore. Temps supposed to be beautiful on Tuesday but of course we leave on Monday. But we still had a great time and just did more stuff inside. I don't know if you've ever been to the movies down here but WOW, what a movie theater. We couldn't believe how nice it is. Well worth a visit. In fact we saw the "Big Red" horse movie and it was great. Have a safe trip and enjoy your stay.
