Default Golf Cart- Velcro Strip on Canvas Overhanging Windshield?

2023 Yamaha Gas: Lifted up the 3 inch canvas that hangs over the windshield and noticed a 3 foot long Velcro strip running the entire length of this overhang. What is this for- it seems pretty specific for a add-on of some sort. Thanks.

I think it’s to keep the overhang
( visor) from flapping in the wind.

You should have the mating velcro strip on the edge of the windshield to keep it from flapping. I found on my carts that keeping the velcro stuck on the windshield is close to impossible.

Oh. That makes sense, but both halves are stuck together- one half is not on the windshield. Either that feature is optional or they forgot to put half on the windshield.

Is the sticky backing covered up? Maybe the frogot to stick it in windshield? Or the sticky came unstuck?

I put three small Velcro tabs on my windshield to attach that front flap. That put an end to the flap buffeting in the wind as we traveled around in the cart.

Yes. The backing is still in place. That is what led me to believe it was intended for some sort of optional add-on such as a tinted panel.
