Default TV Dilemma

Our smart TVs are connected to XFINITY through cable. We have also established Firestick on all our TVs. Not using it much as we still have Xfinity. Our Xfinity is on HDMI 1and all selected channels work normally with the comcast control. However, one channel 1425 has no volume anymore but still has video. Video and Volume on other channels is OK. All channels work well on other two smart TV's.

Any Ideas

Is there an APP associated with this channel? If yes, you might delete and re-install the APP on that TV or through their APP Store.

We have a similar setup, just tried 1425 (Game show) sound worked fine, ours is a smart TV so the streaming functions are built in. I do not recall the Xfinity box remembering as volume setting, so I have no idea what is happening.

Quick question: can't you watch your Xfinity TV on the Xfinity Stream app on your firestick? Then you'd have everything on one device.

Channel 1425 is the Game Show Network that, as of last year, is only available from cable TV providers. It is not a separate app. My channel works fine. But, if you are still having a problem, I would suggest that you install the "Xfinity Stream" app on your firestick (if it is not already installed) and see if you can view and hear the channel there. You will probably need to login to your Xfinity account to register the app on the firestick. You can also install the Xfinity Stream app on any device, like a smart phone or tablet.

The age-old adage ... when in doubt, reboot. Unplug the Xfinity box for about 10-15 seconds and try 1425.
