Default Gray Fox

Played Gray Fox yesterday morning.

Overall , the course is in decent shape . The greens are in mostly good condition but many had sporadic damage which I find hard to describe as the cause . Not a disease or fungus.

My major “beef” is that the maintenance crews are mowing the cr@p out of the grass ! Many, if not most of the turf was that hard pan that nobody likes (insert sarcasm). Makes chipping around the greens very difficult. In fact , in many cases, you would be better off putting vs chipping even though you may be 30 feet + off the green !

B Minus would be my generous rating.

I played Grey yesterday and found the greens pretty good with less unfixed ball marks than most other course. There looks to be a problem on one of the par 3’s with golfers plugging balls on the upslope to the elevated green.
