Default The Sharon sound

Went to a show last night at The Sharon, and while the venue is beautiful and the people were great, the sound was really bad.

Way too much booming bass, no mid or treble at all.

This is the second time we've been there for a music concert, same problem. First time I thought it might be the band, but now going again for a different band, it's the sound, not the band.

Reminds me of Sawgrass, the sound levels there are awful too. We saw Zee-R there a while ago and thought they were terrible, but then saw them at Lake Sumter and they were fantastic! Again, poor sound at Sawgrass. Way too much booming bass.

I totally agree. A very bad sound system.

Since no one here can do a darn thing about your complaint maybe you could contact The Sharon……..

Went to Air Supply concert a few weeks ago. Excellent !
Have been taking noise reducing earplugs to concerts for years to keep from being deaf the next day.
Didn't need them. I'd guess Air Supply's sound mixer made that decision.

Good music doesn't need to defy OSHA standards for hearing loss.
Some of our local restaurants with live music could take this advice.

Was at the same show last night and agree, sound wasn't quality and I noted that the band did not have their own sound system, just what the Sharon has. Too bad. Will not be attending any music entertainment there unless system is changed.

I agree. Most bands seem to boost up the instruments to the point where you can't hear the vocals very well. That young lady has a fantastic voice!

Sound is controlled by a sound man.

Makes 0 sense. Would think that all bands have a Sound Check.

Note that I attended a Lorrie Morgan concert last year, and I could not understand anything of the vocals she sang. But, when listening to her CDs, I can understand every word. I will never attend a show at the Sharon again. How can a high end theater have such a lousy sound system?

We stopped going to the Sharon years ago for that same reason. Instrumentals were deafening.

You know you live in The Villages, many of the people here hearing is so bad they can't even hear the music.

Cause it's not really a "high end" theater. It costs money to upgrade and since it's about the only game in town and people come regardless... why bother? That money can go into the owner's bank accounts instead.

Contact the source, that would be sooo easy. How come no one else thinks of such a simple & novel idea?

Saw HMS Pinafore a few weeks ago. We both felt sound was lacking.

Default sharon

Went to the Sharon and saw the HSCC band out of Australia Friday night. They were great and what a wonderful time I had. The Sharon is a five star venue and I cannot say enough good things about it. So grateful to have top entertainment here. The Villages does everything top shelf. I have been here for two years and I’m still amazed at what a fabulous job the developers did to make this place.
