Default Unusual Daylight Saving Time Events

Anyone have an odd occurrence happen at 2am Time Change?

At 2:02am, I received email and text that the pool needs upgrade. Then cleared on its own at 4:02am. Time was correct at 2:20am when I checked, and when I tried to update nothing appeared on my screen.

4:02am Email from Onstar, my auto had been updated, yet I have never gotten any alerts before.

What is very strange, my Shark Robot at 4:02am started cleaning the kitchen. I can program for cleaning but don’t use the option. My Guess is the Kitchen floor thought it was being neglected.
Since it had already started, I didn’t bother stopping, after all kitchen floors can always need a quick mop.

So may be play lottery numbers 402

Be careful once kitchen floors become aware they can take over

My only strange occurrence was that I didn't receive my daily TOTV in my email at 4:02 am.

Day light savings time also effects the repetitive habits of animals that cross our roads, deer, bear, cougars etc.
So watch your travels.
Their all creatures of habit

If the system's/device time settings are incorrect or if there are issues with network time synchronization, occasional DST change glitches can occur.

Maybe something in the chain was 2 min off.

Former software engineer here. Most things that are programmed work great when things are "normal" since that's the condition that the software is tested under.

I've seen many times where switching to or from daylight savings causes havoc with software due to a bug getting by the quality assurance team for that product. There's a reason that daylight savings happens on a weekend. Too risky of a change to make while many of the global stock markets are open and other 9-5 stuff is happening.

Our pool is controlled by Omni Logic, from any device anywhere, with email and text for notifications. Both our sons have app on their iPhones also.

So not only did I get the alerts, both boys got text at 4am. Not a problem youngest at one of his restaurants, doing a new tasting menu, oldest outside with their new puppy.

I got to see new menu items, (taste would have been bonus) and puppy running around the yard at 4am.( renewed the fact glad we don’t have a new puppy)

Onstar did have a glitch, for some customers such as myself. I received an email at 10am, apologizing for the inconvenience, and 1200 points on my account.

Omni Logic also sent an apology, to disregard, but no free stuff.

Shark didn’t apologize for anything, but after mop, it did self clean into waste bin.

2010 I was in TV getting our house ready for parents. After non stop buying spree, decided to run off energy at 2am. Community watch, wasn’t used to people outside at 2am.
He stopped truck 20 feet away exited, asked if I was lost and did my parents know where I was.

The boys have my sleep pattern. Usually in bed at midnight, up at 4a. We have great uninterrupted conversations, in the middle of the night. For sleep, put phone on do not disturb. So both knew I was awake, at 4a so we had our weekly update conversation

When the oldest is here he finds CW guys not very happy with early 4 am early riser, out and about.

Very interesting. I walk during winter after 7 when it is already dark and there is literally nobody out and about

I had some guests fly down yesterday for a visit and some golf. They set the alarm on their phones for 1:45 AM before going to bed Saturday night so they could get to the airport in time for their very early flight. Since daylight savings time doesn’t officially start until 2:00 AM, their phones time didn’t reset by 1:45 AM and their alarms never went off. Fortunately, one of them woke up around 2:30 and they were still able to make their flight, but barely.

Animals stay on their same patterns as before the time change. Honeybadger don't care about time changes as he has no watch.
