We once had a brand new Culvers open for a year, only to have them tear it down and rebuild it on the same location. Never heard why but it must have been serious...

If they are identical it doesn't make sense but if one is larger???

They could be adopting the ABC store philosophy, they literally have them on every corner on Waikiki sometimes across the street from each other...

The article states the stores are off 101. The amount of traffic on that highway is astronomical. During the busiest of times, it is not unusual for traffic to move 5 -10 mph due to the amount of cars backed up, bumper to bumper. The traffic is not much lighter during off times.

101 is also known as the Pacific Coast Hwy. Maybe this name will help you pinpoint its location. Possibly, you have heard of the large daily amount of traffic on the news?
