What a sad story that's evolving. The next few days are very extremely critical.
Here's the latest UK line: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...tion-zone.html Also scroll down site to see the story about the seabirds in Midway that were wiped out by the tsunami after earthquake in Japan.

This is just one of those UK papers similar to National Inquirer trying to sell more papers.
The radiation is almost completely dissapiated by the time it crosses the Pacific. People in the US have no worry from this. I was looking at Fox Noise local statiion and they were having a similar "Breaking News" about radiation coming to the US. They had a scientist from U of Florida who told the news anchor there was no problem. It was almost like the Fox Noise news anchor was disappointed. |

Ditto
Seems like the reporters want to talk up the bad rumors and are dissapointed if they don't get some. Unfortunately there are very few real journalists left on TV. Most are personalities with no real journalistic credentials or experience. For fox ,if you are a woman it takes blond hair and nice legs to get on air. When Wolf on CNN strays from his prescripted questions, he makes some inane statement. What happened to news orginizations with guys and gals who cut their teeth on print journalism, had to apprentice in the field, were well read and didn't necessarily want to be eye candy? Sorry ! just had to vent ![]() |

it's just that your defamation of Fox News is a bit childish, as is your belief that you see into the thought processes of the news anchor. Why ruin a good post with a ridiculous review of Fox, which you were watching by the way.

Well I was listening to FoxRealNews and have been hearing things, to the contrary from what's been posted, that have gone unstated.
FoxNews had on an expert in the field (not a Fox staff member) as well as the interview of a doctor at a different point in time, and the gist of what they were saying was that the dangers are being overblown by commentators and there is little to no chance of any levels of danger hitting the us, and that probably includes Hawaii. It was also stated that the same kinds of overblown dangers were being claimed about the Chernobyl nuclear accident in April or 1986 where none of the worries for the US were ever realized. So IMHO, what some folks are referring to as "Fox noise" is really more a partial product of opinions and biases, and less of an impartial and complete representation of fact and accuracy thats often practiced by many news agencies.

From my brief musings on 'FOX,' the post seemed like a pretty accurate review to me. Maybe FOX waddles a little less to the right of our fair and balanced 'Daily Fun' but as we head for the 'corporate dictatorship' of FL & the US it might be wise to follow these foxies as they head for our henhouses.

You were absolutely right, Richie. It was unnecessary to refer to Fox News as Fox Noise. I think all the stations are just as ambitious to get viewers that they have the sensationalistic crawlers.
I do listen to the local Orlando Fox News as well as the others. I switch back and forth to get the most news in between all the commercials. I moved here about 18 months ago. Why is this Casey Anthony thing still going on and has not gone to trial YET??? |

it's all $$$, ratings and sensationalism these days of instant communications.
there is no print journalist to cut teeth, and reporting facts has given way to showmanship. now where's the blonde with the pretty legs LOL |

As I referenced in another thread read ann coulter's column in sunday's Daily sun. She quotes experts who claim large amounts of radiation or radon gas actually help prevent cancer. I am not saying I concur but I would like to see a debate about this topic.
