Default Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., Failed to Pay $287,000 in Property Taxes on Aircraft

It's always amazing to me when a legislator whose job it is to vote on tax bills, and especially a legislator who votes for tax increases dodges their own taxes as in the new scandal involving Missouri's Democrat Senator Claire McCaskill.

She hasn't paid property taxes on her private aircraft since 2007; and in a previously revealed outrageous scheme, taxpayers were billed $88,000 for her use of her own aircraft.

After being caught red-handed, she's hinting that someone other than herself is at fault in this matter, but she's has graciously agreed to make full restitution.

If this is true, I hope the State of Missouri goes after her and puts her ass in jail. It might set an example for all the other politicians that think they are above the law. Charlie Rangel????

Default Closer to home

How about a closer look at the Goobernator of Florida, Rick Scott? While he was CEO of Columbia/HRC hospital consortium, it stole over $2 billion in Medicare money. Scott said he did not know anything about it. The hospital consortium pled no contest and was fined a record $2.4 billion. Was he totally incompetent as a CEO or was he lying? Scott took a "golden parachute" of about $330 million to leave the consortium. Why are no Republicans citing this massive fraud when talking about Healthcare Reform having not enough oversight to fight Medicare fraud? Oh, because Scott is Republican!

Then there is the breaking story about the IRS launching an investigation into Marco Rubio and tax implications.

I'm sure if I know the Dems that they are looking and investigating and giving colonoscopies to every prominent Republican. You can try to deflect the scandal I've reported, but it doesn't really help does it.

Why aren't you offended by this abuse of power and obvious law breaking?

A BREAKING story???!!! This was nearly one year ago. Are you this desperate to throw dirt at Republicans that you resort to this type of misrepresentation of the facts? Nothing has resulted from this ‘breaking news’.

Your use of the word ‘Goobernato’ simply displays a typical liberal reaction of using juvenile name-calling.

Actor, as for Harken Energy, please go back and read the facts, not the headline grabbing stories in yellow rags that liberals seem to prefer. The allegation was that George Bush engaged in insider trading. He had sold his holdings to invest in the Texas Rangers.

The subsequent SEC investigation ended in 1992 with a memo stating, "it appears that Bush did not engage in illegal insider trading.” The actions were both legal and above board with a specific legal purpose.

Still no direct reply about Rick Scott's time as CEO of Columbia/HRC when they were involved in Medicare fraud to the tune of over $2 BILLION dollars? Was Scott incompetent as CEO when he said he knew nothing about it or was he lying?

Why don't you start a thread about it instead of hijacking this thread. I might or might not be inspired to comment on your concerns, but this thread was about Sen. McCaskill and her failure to pay her taxes for years and her wrongful billing of the taxpayers.

It has nothing to do with the issues you're trying to raise about the governor of Florida. Those are all old issues that the voters knew about and were fully explored in the media while the revelations about Sen. McCaskill are all brand new.

What is the difference between Sen. McCaskill, Charlie Rangle, and actor Wesley Snipes?

Wesley Snipes is currently serving 3 years in prison.

Video of McCaskill's 2006 campaign video where she states she's paid all her taxes. She sure can lie with a straight face.
