My husband and I live in The Villages and volunteer at a local Sanctuary. We are in need of a dog groomer once a quarter (or however often someone would like to assist) to volunteer on a Thursday or Saturday for a few hours. If you know of anyone, please send me a PM for further info - it's really hot and we'd like to get make the dogs comfortable. Thanks very much!

I'm pretty sure Debfrommaine is looking for someone to volunteer their service. Their is no shortage of groomers around TV but finding someone who will help with a shelter or santuary is another story. I wish I knew someone who could help out. I can only imagine how badly these poor dogs must need a groomer.

Thanks, Bluedog, you are so right. Maybe there is a retired dog groomer in The Villages who could help out once every three months, say for 4 hours or so on a Thursday or Saturday morning, with other volunteers assisting. The dogs really deserve it! Hopefully we'll get a positive reply.
