Sen. Marco Rubio handled himself very well in this interview with Bob Schieffer where he discussed the current debt crisis and fielded questions from Mr. Schieffer who tried to get Sen. Rubio to cut the President some slack and get him to agree with him that revenue through increased taxes was necessary.

Sen. Rubio turned back those attempts with aplomb and instead asked Mr. Schieffer what was the Presidents plan and Mr. Schieffer had no answer. He also said the government has shown that whenever they get new revenue they spend it and don't pay the debt with it, as evidenced by history.

This fine Senator is going to go far in his profession, and I'd like to see him debate "The One" one on one right now.

I moved here in 2006 and rubio caught my eye shortly thereafter. He is solid.
