Default New Construction on 466 east of Morse

This probably has been discussed before but my spouse and I were talking last night about the construction on 466 that's going in. Anyone have any info on this??? We've tried to spot it in the newspaper but if it was in there must have missed it. We're assuming it's NOT a Villages site but something like the Del Webb's on 441.

There was an article a few weeks ago about the location. It will be developed into residential homes. I believe the article said over 300 homes will be built. It will be a great location for those moving there.

Great link, spk - thanks!!!

Guess if someone's looking to build a courtyard villa-style of home, that would be the place to check out!

Some of these places back directly on to 466. The value of homes that back to Morse and Buena Vista are impacted about 8 to 10 % negative. I would think 466 has even more traffic and therefor even a greater negative impact. I personally would not want a home directly abutting 466. Has to be a lot of traffic noise, especially when the big trucks take off from the traffic light at Morse in the early AM. Not sure I would even want one a couple rows of homes in.

Maybe in tract "G", in the middle of it all????? Purely a guess. But I'd think with that many homes there, a neighborhood pool and mailboxes have to be in the game plan somewhere.

I think that you are correct. In this link tract "G" is called the neighborhood rec center. My guess is that they mean the mail area/pool that most villages have.

You've got it, spk! That's exactly what the Neighborhood Rec Centers are:

You are right...but it could be outweighed by being so close to Morse, shopping of every kind, Lake Sumter, and a lot of doctors offices and stuff along 466. Many have said how convenient it would be.

I just LOVE the way those bungelos look. Or is it Bungelows? Anyway that retro look is so in style in home architecture again. Sweet!

Default You've piqued by curiosity...

So am I understanding that this will totally be bungalows? A whole village of nothing but bungalows?...with their own pool and village rec ctr? So what would be their closest Regional Rec Ctr? Also can you tell about the golf cart trails? Do they hook up on Morse? Hope there is LOTS of overflow parking. hahahaha. What is just to the south of the area? I think it is called tract F. Also, since there are a few options on choices...see the Anna Maria type of bungalow (sorry I don't know the name) does that really mean you can make some choices instead of having to take what is already built?

There are 315 bungalow lots. If this is done the same way as the section next to the Waterfront Inn (80+ bungalows) they will all be built before they are offered for sale, but you should have plenty of choices of floor plans, interior and exterior finishes, etc. Those with 2-car garages went fast so they will probably build lots of them. The nearest regional rec center is Laurel Manor, 2 miles away. The golf cart path is already there, right at the entrance, with the tunnel under 466 to the right and the tunnel under Morse to the left. Couldn't be much more convenient. The land to the south is a water retention pond (on the east side) and the edge of Lake Sumter -- wetlands merging to water.

Couldn't read the links provided (sorry!!) since I have a netbook! So my original question is...is this a Villages addition OR is it another type that's along the lines of LakeSide Landings?? Just curious!!!
