Default JD Property Management

Hello in the Villages, We are still wannabies from West Palm, and enjoy visiting as often as we can. We are considering using JD Management. They require a sizeable deposit, which I understand and agree with, but just want to know they are of a good and honest reputation. Can anyone help? Regards LB & LB

I used them and liked them very much. Kept us well informed, and made sure our home was well cared for. Ask for Tom Jones, a real gentleman!

As a renter in Florida, you have rights and legal recourse when you rent through a company. So I think you are better off doing business that way, even from JD Management, rather than from an independent owner, who may leave you in the lurch, or whose property is not close to what is advertised. Rental companies require homes to be fully equipped, so the home will rarely, if ever, be the problem. That's obviously your primary concern.

I'm an owner. What you may have read here about JD Management comes mostly from folks like me who have had horrendous experiences with them. The biggest problem my guests had with them was their disorganization and failure to communicate in a timely fashion.

Good luck, and I'll bet my socks you'll love your time in The Villages.

go to their website you will see they have to offer some months on discount because they have a hard time rent in January..if you do it your self you will find there is no problem renting for full amount in January...had bad experience with them told we were rented only to find out no renters and when they did rent us changed the amount by $600.00 less without asking get a good homewatch person and list on the villages fsbo it will be far less stressfull
