Smile Dining

We decided we would take the time to visit the Country Club restaurants
to see which we liked, etc. From our visits we felt that Cane, Nancy Lopez and Palmer were the best. We tried Mallory for lunch and the individual pizza had much too much spice for our taste and the other order was served very
rightfully hot but with 3 small pieces of chicken. The lunch bill was $30 including tip and we left most of the food. We would not go back. We also tried Hacienda for lunch and were a little put off as entering the botom of the door appeared a little dirty, the memu was a little dirty and so we just left after having a couple of soda's. We understand these are just opinions and others may have different views. It would be interesting to
know what others think of our restaurants..It would be hard to say which of Cane, Nancy and Palmer are best as they all seem to be outstanding.

We have recently commenced the same mouth watering adventure, and it continues. The pizza at Mallory was to my liking, but I was prejudice, or maybe just hungry, since a deliver by Hungry Howie's in Wildwood was a horrible experience and left my mouth watering for pizza. Had a very bad experience which would take way too long to enumerate here at Havanna's last Friday for dinner. The manager comped both of our meals, we tipped the waitress who was marginal as well, and marked that one totally off of our list. Enjoyed breakfast there a few weeks earlier. The quest continues, but I'll admit that it is tough to leave St Charles based on the Cane Garden experiences. I have commented on their Sicilian meatloaf in another post. There are some very fine "chain" eatery s in the surrounding area, but we are about to decide that the country clubs are, for the most part, tough to beat. The number of threads recently regarding restaurants and the like indicate that the pastime of choice for most villagers is second only to golf....

Default Lopez is the best

Monday night at Lopez Legacy is their Lobster tail special. Twin Lobster Tails for $22. Sweet and fresh - cannot be beat. Try a Firefly Sweet Tea vodka and lemonade during the happy hour, too. Excellent.

Glenview is also a great place to eat dinner. They have a very good $12.95 menu during the summer Monday thru Thursday.
