Default Roof/Solar fans/Solar tubes

Am considering installing several solar fans and solar tubes in our CYV. Am worried about potential leaks that these installationg might cause. Would like to hear experiences of others and recommendations.

Thanks in advance

We have solar fans in the attic and a solar tube in the kitchen, and have not had any problems. I love the solar tube in my kitchen. I do not have to put any lights on till early evening.

We've got 2 solar tubes that were installed by the prior owners of the house. They used The Solar Guys and were pleased with their installation. No leaks, no problems.

I've never seen anything on TOTV where anybody's had anything negative to say about the quality of the products and installation via The Solar Guys.

We had 2 solar tubes in our CYV already installed in the 2 baths when we purchased it in 2009. It was built in '04 but I'm not sure when the tubes were actually installed after that date. At any rate, we've had zero problems with them and just got a 3rd installed by the Solar Guys earlier today.

While talking with him about solar fans and their value, he agreed that the most bang for the buck would be blowing in additional insulation to bring it up to R40 over the house and garage, then doing the fan(s) if necessary.

He referred me to the FL Solar Energy Center website for some interesting publications and studies. In the midst of doing that now...

We have 3 solar tubes and a solar attic fan in our CYV, all were installed by Solar Guys. We are very happy with them and have not had any issues.
