Default Rick Perry's views on stimulus money

Perry made headlines during the 2009 legislative session when he turned down $555 million in federal stimulus funding to extend unemployment insurance , citing the strings attached, and he has made a talking point out of the “failed stimulus.”

But Texas took more than $17 billion in stimulus money in 2009 to balance the budgets from that biennium and the previous one. The fact is, he kept the state solvent by taking what he now rails against.

Next candidate, please.

You mean "next President". Gov. Perry opposition to this spending frenzy was overridden by the Texas legislature. I'm not sure if Perry used a veto or signed it, but that what happened. It won't matter, Obama sinking fast. Better hope that Osama/Obama free campaign movie by "friends of Barack" is a humdinger.

Do you think PETA will object to your comparison?

Default Team Obama Shatters The Myth Of Rick Perry’s Texas Miracle

It took Robert Gibbs two sentences to destroy the myth of Rick Perry’s Texas Miracle today. On Meet The Press Gibbs pointed out that the larger employer in Texas is Ft. Hood, which is paid for by the federal government.

Default *laughing*

Rick Perry, Michelle Bachmann, and Rick Santorum all claim that God told them to RUN for president. Not necessarily WIN, mind you, but specifically to RUN. For believers, this must be right up there with the platypus in the "God has a sense of humor" category.

I make it a habit of not ridiculing people's religion. I do not think it is funny. Just saying, that's all. : )
