Default Our home goes on market 9/6 or 9/7

The realtor comes tomorrow to take pictures and it goes on the market either tomorrow or 9/7! Let's see what happens... we have wanted to come to TV for years and had to wait to retire. Time is here, so we are ready!

Best of luck! Hopefully, Christmas will come early and bring with it an offer to purchase your home.

Good for you both. Take Bill's (Bill n Brillo) advice and "price it as low as you can stomach."

We did and we sold ours in nine days and had a bidding war.

That was in June of this year.

Thank you Bill.

We have been lucky in that our home in WI sold in just over 4 weeks. We are now going through the home inspection and appraisal process. I know it's been said before but de-clutter, remove all items of personalization and clean, clean and clean again especially kitchens, bathrooms and windows. Curb appeal is also very important. The buyer sees that first when driving up and walking to the door. We used a stager and believe it was worth the money! Without saying, I believe price is now more important than location is to the buyer. Make sure you and/or your realtor has done the homework on current listings and recently sold homes "like" yours so the price is set right. Good luck! And yes, it only takes one to buy it.

We also used a stager which came free with the realtor. We also used the relocation service offered by TV. What they do is contact what they say is "the best of the best" realtors in your area. They sent 2 and we picked who we liked. Yes, the stager told us things to do to make the house look better. It took a lot of work. To the point of exhaustion some days but, we got it done. It sparkles and shines and looks so much better just by taking some pieces of furniture out. I am by nature a nutcase who likes to clean so that was not a problem. Anyway, they called at 8AM today and won't be taking pictures today because it is raining here today. It has been put off till Fri when the sun will shine for them to get the very best pictures. I am getting nervous and excited.

Brings back memories for us...put our house on the market last year on 9/7! Spent all summer decluttering, sprucing up and getting ready. It paid off as our home went under contract in 5 weeks. Unfortunately, that couple pulled out of the deal and we then had to wait until March for it to sell again. But, it did...and we have now been down here for over 4 months and they have been the best four months of our lives!

Good luck in the sale of your home, wish you all the best. My wife and I are putting our house up for sale Oct 1st. I have been painting during minor repairs and de-cluttering. I have never been so tired; but know it will pay off in the end. Lets hope we all will be in The Villages this winter enjoying our lives.

I hope your mayB turns into a gonnaB.

Best Wishes for a quick sale of your home and avoiding another brutal winter.
