Default Golf group or "jump in game"

recent thread was looking for a group and I thought it would be interesting, How many golfers prefer a "regular" group as opposed to "jumping in games".
Back in NC, I played golf with the same foursome, 5 days a week, and I must say by the end of the week everyone in the group was starting to have problems with EVERYONE in the group....I feel so fortunate to live here in TV and jump in games any course and any time that is available....IMHO, I have found that little things that normally would not bother you, are sometimes overwhelming when playing day after day with the same group..What do you think? Besides, I have met some WONDERFUL Villagers jumping in games....I've also found that MOST people are more tolerent of strangers!...Ha!

I have a great group of guys (20 - 24) who play every weekend up here in PA. I will miss them immensely when I move to TV in 17 days, We all gather, toss balls to see who plays with whom so we mix it up . I love the group and more often 3 guys, I am very close to, whom I play with very often, every chance we get,

Not being a permanent resident yet I have opted for calling in as a single and getting hooked up. I never met a person I wasn't facinated with in TV, their experience, history etc. Joined men's day at Saddlebrook and had a blast.

In 3 weeks I will continue to call as a fill in hoping to meet more guys, join men's days nd look for a group I could have fun with. The same 4 five days a week? I could see getting on somebody's nerves every now and then. The fab 4 I plsy with up here could break apart with that much "togetherness".

Come winter there is security in groups knowing we will have a tee time. I still will continue to call in as a fill in and ry to meet as many TV golfers I can...

I have two groups I play with but I also enjoy jumping in. I play almost every day. I live very close to two different courses and just drive down. I usually only have to wait at the most 30 minutes but generally it's around 15 minutes. It's hard to get tee times in the winter. Most tee times are booked as foursomes but there is always someone that doesn't show up. Also, some golfers book foursomes knowing that they only have 3 players so that they can play without a stranger but if you walk on you can't be turned away.

I am single and "jump in" all the time - both on the executive and championship courses. No problems here.

I jump in here all the time. For some reason the friends I've made here don't golf much & when they do ..let's just say I don't mind golfing with people I don't know.

I have a Wednesday ladies group and a Saturday ladies group. There's a lot of overlap in the two. We rotate foursomes and mostly get along great. In TV, maybe I would jump in sometime.

Here in California I belong to three Women's Clubs, we get mixed up, that's okay with me.

But I prefer to walk onto other courses and play with whoever they put me with. Last Sunday I played the Navy course and met three adorable Air Force Captains, we had a blast.

When I get to TV I plan to simply go out as a single to meet the The Villagers.
